Outdoor diners on a spring day

Huntersville, NC is a town located slightly north of Charlotte. Nestled in a scenic locale, it has a lot to offer, including a surprising variety of multicultural cuisines. Recently, Huntersville has been receiving more and more attention. People relocating to the east coast have it on their radar due to the variety of homes for sale in Huntersville, NC, but real estate isn’t the only draw to Huntersville. Check out this list of great places to grab a bite the next time you find yourself in the area.

Verde Mexican and Nuevo Latin Fusion
9818 Gilead Rd Ste 107-B Huntersville, NC 28078
704.274.9192

Mexican food is a favorite of mine, and Verde definitely lived up to and exceeded my expectations. The best part of this restaurant is that they include a variety of dishes from other Latin American cultures, and guests have the opportunity to try new flavors from several South American countries that they may never have tried before. The ceviche at Verde is some of the best I’ve ever tried. Their chef’s Cuban influence puts a delicious spin on the dish, and I strongly recommend you give it a try.

Red Rocks Café
8712 Lindholm Dr, Huntersville, NC 28078,
704.892.9999

As a pescatarian, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Red Rocks Café has a menu with vegetarian and pescatarian options that go way above and beyond simple salads. They have delicious gluten free options as well, and all of their food is fresh and delicious.

Ducksworth’s Grill and Taphouse
16609 Statesville Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078
704.237.4387

Traditional east coast style meets a modern menu here at Ducksworth. The red-brick walls lend the atmosphere a timeless feel, and it is easy to imagine that you’ve traveled back in time to enjoy a flavorful ale in the days of the American Revolution. They have a large selection of domestic brews on tap and some interesting imports, as well, so for beer lovers, Ducksworth’s is a must try. They specialize in chicken wings, and their chefs have created a couple of true culinary masterpieces, such as the buffalo blue cheese chips, which have a flavor unlike any I’ve ever tasted. Ducksworth’s is a perfect place to grab a drink with friends and enjoy the ambiance.

Killingtons Restaurant and Pub
10010 Rose Commons Dr, Huntersville, NC 28078
704.948.3770

Sports fans will want to make a trip to Killington’s, where they can catch the game on one of their big screen televisions and enjoy a beer at the same time. The selection of beers available on tap or bottled is pretty impressive, and all their drinks and dishes are served with a friendly smile.

Café 100
100 Huntersville-Concord Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078
704.274.5932

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and at Café 150 they clearly have mastered the art of serving it. Everything at Café 150 is fresh and cooked to perfection, and they serve more than generous potions, so make sure to show up hungry. Of course Café 150 has some great options for lunch, too, but their breakfasts are what really makes them shine.

Rocky’s Pizza
10310 Wilmington St, Huntersville, NC 28078
704.727.5080

New York Style pizza, prepared fresh, served hot. Need I say more? This is possibly the best pizza place you are likely to find in the entire state.

All of these places provide a fantastic dining experience alongside some wonderful dishes. You won’t ever need to be hungry when in Huntersville NC.
